The breakfast was ok in relation to the price.

The room was very spacious and the bathroom too. The hotel was in a handy location for getting to local places of interest by car (Monnickendam, Hoorn, Edam etc) or to Amsterdam by public transport. The rate we got was great value.
Nothing wrong with the hotel, but Volendam itself was dissappointing; very touristy and not at all the best that the Netherlands have to offer! Other towns close by are fare more attractive (E.G. Edam, Monnickendam, Hoorn).

Very nice room with friendly staff. Good breakfast.
Location a bit far from centre of atractions, but not too bad. Resturant that is recommended by hotel was very poor I would not recommend this to anyone, I can't comment about the food as we did not get served after waiting for a hour and after numerous requests for a menu, other people also left in the time we were there with the same complaint, a total waste on an hour of my time.

The hotel was comfortable and fairly new with a pool and hot tub. No wifi but free connection for a computer. Lots of biking trails The train dosent go there you must bus from pumerend for 4 euros or from amsterdam for 6 euros. We enjoyed our stay and would go back

I have only good things to say. Service was ecellent, polite, swift, patient and informative. There's a mini-market and also bicycles rental in the hotel. Rooms are big, clean and well equiped - TV, sound system for listening to radio, mp3 players etc. Very good cleaning and maintenance service. Kettle with coffee and tea. Large bath. Location is excellent. Ride a bike to Marken, take a boat trip, walk to the wind-mill, relax in Volendam harbour.
Breakfast is simple, but satisfying - croissant, buns, sousages, boiled eggs, cheese, searials etc. I'm mentioning it so people can figure out their value for money. I think it's worth it.

We liked the location and the decor of the hotel
We were not aware that the hotel desk closed at 8 p.m. and arrived at 8:15. We had a hard time figuring out that we were to use a call box and give our reservation number and then someone would come unlock the door and get us checked in. We waited outside for 20 minutes. They were very nice though once we finally got in.

The location was great.
The pool in a sports hotel closed at 5pm, the breakfast was poor. No way was it worth 10th euros

The best thing was the bike hire.
It was very hard to find. Breakfast is served late for someone who wants to get away early. It really is a family friendly hotel and would not recommend it for couples. I thought the hotel was over-priced. The rooms were clean and basic. I took a gamble on a hotel that did not have a star rating and would never do that again. It is a great hotel for families if you get it at a good price.
